Our annual “First Lessons in Beekeeping” course will begin on Tuesday January, 31 2017 at 6:30 PM. The course will be held at Trinity United Methodist church 2724 Whiskey Rd Aiken SC, across from Tractor Supply, in the youth hall in the rear of the church.
This is a seven session introductory course for those interested in honeybees and the art of keeping them. Each session, on successive Tuesday evenings, is taught by local experienced beekeepers who will provide you with practical information on how to ne a successful beekeeper. Each session is designed to instruct you on basic beekeeping techniques and general knowledge. Whether you are an aspiring first time beekeeper, one who has kept bees before, or someone just interested in the health and well being of our pollinators this course will be of interest to you. At the end of the course participants will be given the opportunity to take a written test toward becoming certified beekeepers in the SC Master Beekeeping program.
The costs for the course are as follows:
Couple $95.00 (includes one textbook)
Children under 18 are free with paid adult
