Dr. Keith Delaplane will be speaking at the Clark Hill Beekeepers Meeting.

Dr. Keith Delaplane, professor of Entomology and head of the honey bee research and extension lab at the University of Georgia will speak to the Clark Hill Beekeepers on Monday, February 4th, 2013 at 7pm. We meet at Walden’s Pond. The address is 6343 Yelton Road, Appling, GA.  You can find a map on the www.clarkshillbeekeepers.org website.
Please come join us and meet Dr. Delaplane. His topic will be Colony Collapse and it’s effect on Bees.

Introduction to Beekeeping Course

Our Beginner Beekeeping Course will begin January 29, 2013. The class will meet each Tuesday night at 6:30 at Trinity United Methodist Church at 2724 Whiskey Road, Aiken, SC 29803 (across from Tractor Supply). The last class is either March 5 or 12. The $55 entry fee ($75 for a couple, $35 for children 12-18, free for children under 12) for the course includes the course’s textbook (First Lessons in Beekeeping), a year’s membership in both the Aiken Beekeeper’s Association and the SC State Beekeeper’s Association, and the written test fee for the beekeeper’s certification test taken at the end of the class.
